In February we drove to Colorado to get some boxes from my parents and see them before they moved to Virginia. We drove 10.5 hours and spent the night at a motel in our beloved Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, then stayed with our dogs at a hotel in Longmont, where my parents lived. We were in Longmont a couple days and looked through a lot of old stuff. We saw Aubrey and her kiddos in Milliken and spent a day with my sister in Boulder and went to dinner with Nat’s parents and my parents and sister on the way to Denver, where we spent the night with Dan at Laura’s. The next day we hung out with them and went to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, where I still love going and photographing (so fun to see the different / same things I photograph over the years, 2017, 2015).

The rest of the trip we were in the Springs (we did go back up to Denver one day for Meow Wolf with Nat’s parents – it was very cool!). We hung out with Ian and Angie and went to Fargo’s (still amazing). We spent time with Nat’s family, including Grandma Joanie and Aunt Heather for the last time; they died this year 😔 We ate Albertacos and Louie’s. It got extremely cold, like negative temps! Then we drove back through blowing snow in Wyoming, spent the night at Riverside Hot Springs back in Lava (where there were private pools!), stopped in Boise for a delicious lunch at High Note, a vegan cafe, and safely made it home with a bunch of boxes of my childhood stuff.

Obviously I’m still catching up on photos, which will be much easier to do now that I have a new computer! Images have looked pixelated here, both in posts and thumbnails, and it bums me out, so I don’t know how much longer I’ll keep posting here. But I’ll probably keep uploading to Flickr… until doing so becomes cost-prohibitive. ~Blogging~ ain’t what is used to be, that’s for sure.
