I distinctly remember my dad taking me to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science when I was a freshman or sophomore in high school. It was so fun to go back with him and see him in front of all the dioramas I have photographed so much from that first point on through college and now whenever I visit. The last time I was there was in 2014 with my sister – it’s so funny to see the same things and the different things I photographed those two times two and a half years apart. I took my dad to Tocabe and then we headed back to Lafayette. My parents took me to Waneka Lake by their house and we went for a walk, and then to the airport.

After two years, I finally got full-time status at work. That meant we could look for a little bit bigger of a rental house, and we got lucky and found (and were approved for) one pretty quickly, so we’re moving at the end of the month. My dad offered to come help us move, so I’ll be seeing him again soon! And maybe my whole family will come over for Thanksgiving since we’ll have a dining room and space for an actual dining table :)
