These photos are from more than three months ago, and I haven’t made a post here in over a month. I’ve never felt (or been??) so far behind on so many things in my life! But I’m not gonna stress about it. Just gonna struggle to remember the details of all these photos I’m about to post now that I have a bit (a bit) more time on my hands.

I had this place saved in my Roadside America app for probably as long as I’ve lived in Oregon. I never gave it much thought, as the entry doesn’t have an associated photo; it just says “Pioneer Museum: Taxidermy Room.” When my parents came to visit at the end of May/beginning of June, they wanted to go to Tillamook to see the newly renovated creamery. On the drive there, Nathaniel suggested we check out the Pioneer Museum and – can you guess what I have to say about it? IT’S INCREDIBLE and I LOVED IT. The taxidermy collection is packed into a quite small room that I just circled for an hour. We were the only ones there, I saw all kinds of displays and dioramas I’d never seen before, there was a big talking Smokey the Bear in a glass case in the basement – all good things! I’d love to move in to this museum.
