Our Memorial Day trip to Lucas was overall a success. Stephanie got to our place Wednesday night, Jenae and Osefame arrived by train Friday night, and Saturday morning we were off, adding Michael to our caravan along the way. Ian and Angie joined us at the house shortly after we got there. We hit a big, awesome rainstorm on the drive, but other than that our days were dry and partly sunny! We played games, ate lots of homemade meals (and drank lots of drinks), took our boat out on Wilson Lake and scrambled around on the shores, meandered through Lucas admiring the charm, sat on the porch and read and talked, and went to Garden of Eden before Ian and Angie had to head back to Fort Collins Monday afternoon. The rest of us stuck around for a little, checking out another neat Lucas place (the stuff of another post) and going to the lake one more time so Nat could jump in :) Nathaniel and I celebrated our anniversary Sunday, opening and watching (!!!) our gifts to each other and reminiscing about last May in the Forest. We also found a couple of neat skeletons along the lake, which was exciting for a large percentage of us in the group, ha ha. Jenae and Osefame left Monday night and Stephanie Tuesday, and then it was back to the hustle of real life. Thanks for such a fun vacation, friends!! I’m so lucky to know all of you.

A little intense song selection, perhaps? ;) Or, a video in which we are all almost always taking pictures.
