I’m convinced having a birthday in early springtime is the best. Most of the pictures I took at the zoo were for a project, and it was such a good day with nice weather and many of the animals active and not a lot of people even though the crowded parking lot said otherwise, but trips to the Kansas City Zoo are kind of an annual thing and I get tired of posting the same pictures from there. We did do the sky ride, which makes me feel increasingly anxious the older I get, embarrassingly. I find that all I can think about is plummeting into the giraffes’ enclosure. Hopefully I can get myself together at least a little bit in time for Disney World.

In other news, our backyard is looking lovely and my dog hates being picked up.
