At the beginning of September, we went to Netarts to spend two nights at an Airbnb. Our first night away from home since the pandemic started in March. It was actually kind of just me – Nat and I had booked this trip in July, but realized shortly after that he wasn’t going to be able to come because it was the first week of classes and he had to work. In the end, he came for some of the trip and worked one day from our little place.

I drove out to Netarts on a Wednesday afternoon and spent the evening walking on the beach with June and watching the sun set. Nat arrived after dark and we walked around the area, just this little stretch of vacation homes and a couple motels. The next day we woke up as the sun was rising and walked the dogs on the beach. It was a very chill day spent mostly inside, looking out at the ocean. When Nat left the next morning, I spent a couple hours on the beach with June, drove to Cannon Beach just to eat lunch in my car, and went home.

It was a lovely little trip, but way too short! We actually booked another vacation while we were still there – and that’s where I am now! Trying to catch upon photos and posts because I have a bit of ~content~ again.
