I took the day off work on Christmas Eve and we went for a long and leisurely walk on Sauvie Island. We saw a bunch of sandhill cranes! We also spent a long time making a memorial for a dead mole. Also, while Nat was on the phone with his mom, I stopped and watched so many birds hopping around on the trees, and this sweet Anna’s hummingbird came and perched so close to me. And! We saw a really big frog!

At home, we both opened our one gift, and I think we were in bed by 9. I love winter when I can spend whole days walking around outside and then come home to relax in a twinkle-light-lit living room. It’s January that’s going to suck.

And with that, I am almost caught up on photos! Just Christmas to come, and that will have to wait until 2019. Oh well!
