We had had such nice weather the first two years we went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest, so even though we knew it was likely going to be raining and very wet, we put on our wellies and raincoats and went down to Woodburn the Sunday before last. I didn’t even dare bring my Canon due to the rain, so these are all taken with the little Fuji we have just for occasions like this. It does an okay job!

Afterward, we went to The Blackbird Granary near St Benedict and then Aurora Mills Architectural Salvage, which led us to a bunch of antique stores in Aurora that we had somehow never been to before. It was such a good day. I got the most amazing taxidermy pigeon specimen (see here) and a little black duckling from this person’s booth. My office space in our new house is seriously starting to fill up!
