The last two pet cemeteries we went to in Texas: Faithful Friends Pet Cemetery & Crematory and Smoke Rise Farm Pet Cemetery. The former was not very big and was meticulously maintained, and the latter was huge and very rural-feeling. At Smoke Rise (where we saw a handful of deer as soon as we arrived), I couldn’t even really spend time looking at the gravestones because there were so many and I was already losing daylight. I focused mainly on the statues, of which there were many. Some very unique ones – like a gorilla!

From Smoke Rise, we headed to Kelly’s house in Fort Worth to meet up for dinner. On the way, we found a dog, which… turned out to be a whole (sad) thing. With Kelly and her partner Daniel, we went to Spiral, a vegan diner where I had the most delicious baked potato grilled cheese sandwich, and Melt, where everyone but me had ice cream. Fort Worth is super cute! We only got to see it at night, but I liked it.
