It was such good luck that we found out about these cabins on really short notice and were able to book a night during Labor Day weekend. There are nine cabins and a lodge with a restaurant (and chickens!) on 150 acres. Our cabin had a deep jetted tub on a private deck – a total bonus. We walked around the property loop to the restaurant, ate outside on the patio, and walked back with a bottle of wine to drink while we relaxed in the tub and looked out at the stars. This would be such a good spot to go back to with friends; our cabin had an upstairs loft and slept at least six, Friends, come out to Oregon!

On the way home, we stopped in Medford to see the giant bird outside Black Bird Shopping Center, then went to the House of Mystery, which I’m so bummed I cannot recommend! The whole time I just felt like I was missing out on a joke. I didn’t feel like I could see the crazy things they were showing us in the demos (mostly height changes based on where you’re standing, even though they show you all the surfaces are level) and in the house itself things did seem to roll uphill but there was also so many wood platforms it was hard to tell what ~spooky results~ were just manufactured? Anyway, it was fun to see, I just wouldn’t have spent over an hour there on a paid “tour.” Old photos of the place are really fun to look at.
