We had planned on heading back to Portland super early Monday morning to try to get to Wilhelm’s mausoleum (only open on Memorial Day every year), but since we were already there, I convinced Nat that we needed to check out Olympic Game Farm in Sequim. The farm used to house the animals that appeared in Disney nature films, and the bears there have been taught to “wave” to visitors in cars. Forever (conflicted) fans of “animal safaris,” we were pretty stoked to be there. It was amazing to be so close to the Kodiak bears, and I loved the fallow deer and bison (there were also domestic bunnies all over). Afterward, we hung out in Sequim for a little and had breakfast at the Oak Table. Then we headed home the long way so I could see something in the area I’ve been wanting to see for a while – photos soon.
