More pictures from our camping trip at Massacre Rocks. We were bummed to discover there wasn’t even a little area where we could get in the water–the current in the Snake River is apparently quite intense; my dad had wanted to rent a kayak and no one could go out the whole time we were there because it was too dangerous. We drove to Lava Hot Springs (a favorite camping spot of Nat’s and mine from past Colorado-Oregon road trips) to try to dip into the river there, and it was madness! So many people tubing and hanging out, so we just found some shade and had lunch. Cody did find a spot to swim in the river back and the campground, and we all sat on a dock and put our feet in the water for a while :) We moved over to our little cabin for the last night, got temporary tattoos, cooked dinner, and watched an amazing sunset. I loved seeing my folks. Wished we’d played more Rack-O.
