Just like this time last year, my DSLR’s at the doctor, for the last time since its warranty’s almost up. I figured getting it a check-up would be worth being without my camera for a big vacation weekend yet another year! I’m pretty bummed about it because we are indeed going camping in Idaho (with my parents!) and hopefully visiting the natural history museum there, and I’m not crazy about my “backup camera,” the Fuji X100S. It has a hard time focusing correctly and the colors are a bit wonky, as evident in these pictures from a hike to Crescent Beach last weekend. It was such a good beach day! We made it there shortly after low tide and were able to swim in a bunch of warm, shallow pools on the beach. We set up our little shelter and made a fire and cooked veggie dogs. I can’t wait to go again.
