We had two 102-degree days over the weekend. Saturday night we went to the movies (The Lobster–so good) and on Sunday we cleaned the house and headed to the coast for the second half of the day to catch the evening low tide. We walked around on a misty Cannon Beach for a while, had dinner in Manzanita (Big Wave Cafe has the most amazing pies–their peanut butter one is my absolute fave), and then went to Indian Beach to watch the sunset. It was a really amazing, beautiful night. We stayed until it was almost dark… and then got back to the car to find we had a flat tire (which my incredible, talented, competent spouse changed in less than a few minutes, because he is the best!). I see lots more evenings like that in the future, especially while we have this crazy amount of daylight the rest of the month.
