The road to Indian Beach shows no signs of reopening since a storm washed it away in November, and since we miss it so much we’ve committed to just doing the 1.5-mile hike from Ecola Point (even when it’s insanely muddy). We went on Easter (and legit saw two Easter bunnies in Cannon Beach. There are always domestic-looking bunnies in Cannon Beach!) and it was an incredible day. Cody is not great off-leash (always kinda comes back when he feels like it, very rarely when you call his name) and we got separated from him for a long time, and when he found us we had already hiked over the rocks and onto the second beach, and he could not get to where we were without us. He definitely tired/stressed himself out trying, though, before Nat went to get him. Poor guy.

We found a really beautiful dead seagull and I decided to make an At Rest photo, as I still do sometimes.

The 3-mile hike round-trip really doesn’t feel long, and I’m so excited for spring and summer hangouts on Indian Beach and Crescent Beach.
