Yesterday for my good friend Johnathan’s birthday, he and his friend Haley and I went to Paxton Gate, an oddities shop filled with taxidermy and so much amazing stuff. All I allowed myself to get was a squirrel paw, but I can see visiting this place lots in my future.
Also, earlier this week I went with Johnathan to adopt his cat, Oscar! Awesome week so far. And this weekend we are going to HALLOWEENTOWN! Maybe it was the rain and gloom today but, man, lately I just feel like I love living here.
Hello Emma & Thaniel! Just wandered through your pics Emma, as Wendy was being stubborn and not wanting to talk much, she told me to “go look at Emma’s website.” Looks like you’ve been enjoying a lot of Natural History and the like. lovely photos, though some made me want to burst out with “BE SURE to wash your hands thouroughly!!” Especially wild rabbits…they can carry tuleremia..pretty deadly and it doesn’t take much exposure….so BE CAREFUL with the dead, dear.
How’s things going for you both out there? I saw 3 Division of Wildlife trucks down by the Arkansas River this morning and called Rachel to let her know that if she was actually in town, she’d better call me for lunch! Turns out she’s in Springs today counting fish or something like that. Rats. No lunch date.
It is October and it has been in the 80’s and 90’s for the past three weeks….did I say it is October? Getting ready for the annual yoga and meditation workshop I host the second weekend of Novmeber…planning to shamelessly promote myself and my services, and hope that a GREAT DEAL of work comes from it.
Give a shout sometime and let me know how you’re doing. Mom (Gramma Joanie) is doing pretty well, Grampa Floyd goes in for a stress test tomorrow and is anticipating mild back surgery the 28 of the month and George and I are going to plus level square dance lessons…you two should try that out…you’d have a grand time and keep you brains’ doing do-di-does and grand alemandes in your sleep. Meet lots of nice, interesting folks…who might be a bit older, but who cares? Wendy and David are supposedly going to Tennesee for a train ride and Dollywood too! Whoo-Whooo! Wendy didn’t seem to know or care where they were headed…hmmmmmm
Haven’t heard much about GrandStaubers, so I guess they are well too.
Got to get off my butt and hang some flyers around town. Shoot a note or give a call sometime and we’ll catch up. Glad to see that yous are happy in your new home, the little green house looks nice and as if it has LOTS of potential…maybe a winter garden in the backyard?? Send me the pictures! (smile)
Take Good care of yourselves….guess might see you around the holidays?
Yours Ever, The Auntielaine…aka ‘laino, “Helga’s OLDER sister, Olga” (smiles and laughs) Bye! Elaine
Hi Elaine! Thanks so much for this nice comment. It’s really good to hear from you. We were actually just in Denver last weekend for our friends’ wedding, so we’re not planning on going back to Colorado for the holidays! You’ll have to come visit us here sometime soon :) Nathaniel and I will email soon <3
P.S. Please be sure, Gentle Moderator, to “moderate” my “comment” Ha! Elaine
