Pretty sure we happened upon a dump site for poached animals at Perry Lake a few weekends ago? On the side of a mostly-overgrown dirt road we sometimes drive down to get to a little beach, Nat noticed a bunch of deer legs scattered around and five or six rotting rib-cages. There were tons of feathers, probably from at least three or four birds, from what we could tell. I do not know a lot about such things, but it felt super sketchy so I reported it to the county game warden.
The following weekend, Michael came over from Manhattan to spend the day with us. We walked at the wetlands and played Sunfloweropoly late into the night, in the living room with the windows open. That was pretty nice. Now it’s full-on spring and everything around here is gorgeous. There are purple budding trees everywhere that I don’t remember being so present in previous years–eastern redbuds? Love em.
Finally–the end of March! See all the pictures here.
