I met Dan when I was 15 and we’ve been friends ever since, so I know pretty well how easily anyone will laugh with him. I also know how easy it is to get annoyed with him, especially when he is acting like a huge dork and making every picture in what is supposed to be a nice set of photos of a significant time in life look like a joke. But Dan has met his match in Jes, who is not only patient and quick to laugh but also ever-amused by Dan (see: her radiant smile in nearly every image). I love these photos of two people very special to me, in a beautiful place, with gorgeous light (I do apologize for the terrible rural Kansas graffiti). They were so fun and a breeze to make.
