Last Thursday morning, Dan and I made the drive to Madison through beautiful Iowa and Wisconsin for a conference on photography. It was seriously such a gorgeous trip with the changing leaves, little rolling hills, old farmhouses. I was ready to move before I even saw Madison and fell in love. The first thing we did was happen to meet up with some KC folks, one of whom is from Madison. She told us all the best things to do, like eat at The Old Fashioned and make sure to go to the Madison Farmers Market and get Stella’s Hot & Spicy Cheese Bread, both of which were fantastic experiences. We also ate at this amazing place we kept seeing driving between our hotel and downtown, Ella’s Deli. We did lots of walking around and saw lots of art (particularly enjoyed the Alec Soth exhibition at MMoCA), I stood by the water and thought about chucking plans to move to Oregon and never coming back from Wisconsin, and then we hit the road for Chicago.
