My very good friends from college, Jenae and her husband Osefame, recently moved to Chicago for Osefame to study at Northwestern. They have a super cute apartment in Lake View, where Dan and I stayed Saturday night before heading home. We jammed a lot into less than 24 hours, but mostly just hung out and talked, which is exactly what I wanted to do. We took the train to the Bean (got Garrett’s Chicago Mix on the way, the most delicious) and then went to Giordano’s for dinner. In the morning, we took the bus to Do-Rite Donuts and also discovered our car (Nat’s Jetta) was dead, inevitably, because we left the lights on (it was fussy the whole trip. The locks! Nat, fix them!). So that was a fun part of the trip, but really not too bad because people who don’t wanna help you on a Sunday morning will help you anyway. We drove all day, listening to some good podcasts and just catching up. Dan and I love going to SPE together, but it might just be an excuse to hang out one-on-one and for days on end and visit friends (the last time we went to SPE we hung out with Jenae, too).
