So, one last short stretch in Colorado before we drove home. Our little patches of Colorado in the Forest where the bright green grass almost makes you forget there was a fire last year; at Garden of the Gods on trails I used to hike with my Dad, this time with Jeff; and on the drive from Sedalia to Palmer Lake on the way back from dinner with Steph and Martin in Castle Rock, a drive Nat and I have done together a hundred times, stopping to look at our dream house in Larkspur, which now has a renter, and a little bull elk on the property. That’s how we spent the last days of our wedding and honeymoon trip. Colorado will always have a big piece of my heart.
