A while ago, I discovered that one of our favorite places to walk was, according to a map, not indeed Riverfront Park. I finally decided to check out the real thing the other day, further north of town, and I didn’t think much of it. I preferred our spot with the boat ramp and the signs indicating I could take my dog off the leash without repercussion (and always hoping in vain to socialize him with other dogs, when it is in fact a rare treat to watch Cody see another dog and immediately flop down on his belly until he can decide what he wants to do), but then I went again with Nat Saturday and we started following an inconspicuous path that led to a secret beach along the river. It was really beautiful and secluded and I think it’s gonna be a new favorite for us.
