I keep forgetting that it hasn’t been one year yet since we moved to the neighborhood where we live now. Living on the other side of town makes such a difference; each season’s qualities are so much more noticeable when you have some space and a lawn and trees and walking paths. These pictures are mostly from our neighborhood or the drive to my work. We also took Cody out to Clinton Lake so he could chase waves one last time until next summer (I keep saying this time is the last time, but it’s so dang cute, and he loves it so much… he’d be happy to chase waves up until all the lakes are frozen over).

We’ve finally made the decision to drive to Pittsburgh to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. We’re driving the most sensible route there and then taking a little extra time to drive through West Virginia and Kentucky on the way back. I’m so excited to add two new states to our list of those we’ve visited together, making it twenty-two!!

I had my admissions interview for grad school on Saturday and I’ve been enrolled in my first two classes. I start school the second half of January. Sometimes I forget that my going to grad school is the reason we moved to Kansas, so I’m excited to (what feels like) finally make a move on that.

And I know Halloween is well over, but I can’t help but add these pictures of my dressed up keeks to this post. Cody also wore a glow-in-the-dark skull t-shirt. Why does it have to be that animals hate costumes so much?
