Sunday, we went to Schaake’s Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence and Cider Hill Family Orchard near Kansas City. Notes for next time: bring Cody to the pumpkin patch, go apple picking earlier, and have apples recipes ready (seriously, I have so many apples sitting on the counter with not many ideas what to do with them).

Also, that black and yellow garden spider (argiope aurantia) was the biggest spider I have ever seen. And its web was incredible. Very cool.
