Nathaniel’s mom, dad, and sister got into town Friday night and we spent the weekend at the shops on Mass, at the Maple Leaf Festival and on a dinner train ride in Baldwin City, returning to the pumpkin patch, exploring the Wetlands before they disappear, and eating (delicious) wedding cake samples brought to us from Colorado Springs. Nathaniel and I have also done a little bit of decorating for Halloween, but that’s another post.

Late tonight, my best friend is arriving in Lawrence and tomorrow afternoon we are heading to Lincoln for a conference on photography. We’re staying through the weekend. Then–Halloween! October is the busiest.
