There’s a whole lot of talk about summer coming to an end, but temperatures were in the hundreds all the days these photos were taken, so I’ll believe it when I can walk my dog when I get home from work without returning home feeling like I have a fever. But sunflowers have bloomed and are now wilting (in said 100-degree heat), and cicadas are doing their near-death, inches-from-the-ground buzz, so I suppose that does mean it’ll be fall soon. I guess summer’s end also brings out all the scariest spiders and their ability to spin webs at lighting speed. I must walk through a different spider web every morning in between my house and my car.

That’s the armadillo I made Nathaniel for our anniversary, since we have seen a few (roadkill) this year for the first time ever, and the Gunter he made me. He makes sound.
