Probably the best thing about both of us working for institutions of higher education is that we still get “snow days,” and they’re still magical. I’ve been enjoying a four-day weekend, but N’s at work today. We’ve been filling our time watching Twin Peaks and admittedly getting a little stir crazy. Also, our neighbor’s neighbor’s giant dead tree cracked and fell across their fence one insanely windy day two weekends ago, and then it got covered in snow. So almost every day since then these poor guys come out and work on cutting the tree into smaller pieces, in the snow and cold and dark.
