Again, I’m not a wedding photographer, but again, almost nothing makes me happier than taking pictures of/for my friends. So Nathaniel and I drove to Colorado and back two weekends ago for our friends Therese and Garett’s wedding in Manitou Springs. It all went by too quickly but I’m so glad we were able to go to their adorable wedding. Their reception was at the Ghost Town Museum in Old Colorado City! We ate pizza and ice cream and drank lots of beer and made new friends. They had gorgeous weather–Garett was sweating in his suit!
Everyone walked to the Penny Arcade after the ceremony to play games :) (And don’t worry, they had an actual photographer who they hired taking pictures, too, and he did the ceremony and portraits.)
Somewhere in all this–did you know I am absolutely terrible at all things remotely feminine? I attempted to patch my chipping nail polish and ended up with goopy, smudgy fingernails all day, and I burned my finger on the first curling iron I tried to use in maybe my whole life. Relieving it with a frozen grape here. Nat’s idea.
Now I am about to head back to Colorado, on a plane this time. I’m leaving tomorrow for a conference on photography in Fort Collins. I was going to see Morrissey, too, for the third time, but it was cancelled :(
Anyway, Happy Halloween! We did carve our pumpkins and stuff, I just have a lot to catch up on!
